5 Essential Chrome Apps to Have

Using Chrome as your web browser…? Using extensions to make your job easier... Great.
Here’s a treat for your Chrome browsing hunger. Listed are few chrome extensions which you should add to your browser NOW, to make your life easier. These are great chrome extensions and here is the magic deal… they are FREE.

GMAIL OFFLINE: Using GMAIL for your mail access, great isn’t it. But what happens when you lose internet connectivity. Gmail Offline tackles one of the basic weaknesses of webmail services: offline availability. Gmail Offline is a Chrome app that syncs your Gmail account whenever you're online, thus allowing you to access your mail when you're not connected. You can read messages, archive mail, and even write new mail or replies. The next time Gmail Offline detects an Internet connection, it automatically runs all of your offline actions when syncing data Ta Da. Great isn't it... One of my personal favorites.

BOOMERANG FOR GMAIL:  Always forgetting a meeting… A schedule… A birthday to wish Boomerang for Gmail is an useful Chrome and Gmail add-on that lets you schedule sending emails and replies, even if you're not online at that particular time. Just write your email as normal within Gmail, and then click on Send It Later to set a message sending schedule. This is great for scheduling birthday messages, time sensitive emails, or for those times when you want to send a message without waking up the recipient.

GOOGLE DICTIONARY: Reading your favorite blog and suddenly author throws an esoteric word..? as in What does "schadenfreude" mean again?  With the Google Dictionary extension installed, double-click on a word on a webpage, and the definition instantly pops-up. These pop-ups can also translate foreign text into your default language or provide links to more detailed definitions from resources like Wikipedia.

ADBLOCK PLUS: AdBlock Plus (ABP) is a popular adblocker available. It features a quick setup, loading preset filter lists that allow users to quickly block most ads, as well as the option to filter malware and social media buttons. Advanced users can chose additional block lists, as well as set custom filters or whitelists. AdBlock Plus allows what it calls "non-intrusive advertising" through filters, which may disappoint some users, though this can be disabled in settings.

TURN OFF THE LIGHTS: Turn Off The Lights provides you with atmospheric lighting for your online video viewing on Chrome. At easiest, you can set Turn off the Lights to automatically dim your window background when using YouTube or other video sites. If you want to get more in-depth, you can customize the add-on to set custom colors to your screen while playing videos, set atmospheric lighting, fade effects, and toggle a night mode for an experience that's more akin to a home theater than a run-of-the-mill video site.
